All of our canvases are coated with a protective lacquer which serves to assist the adherences of ink, renders the print water resistant and further enhances UV Light resistance to fading.
As an optional extra a protective gel medium can be applied to your block mounted canvas. This gives your print a brush-marked appearance and can be particularly effective with imagery that looks as though at may be painted rather than photographic. This process leaves the canvas a bit tacky and some care needs to be taken until such time as the canvas is hung. The cost of the gel medium ranges from $25 to $35 depending on the size of the canvas.
